These cables can be used with memory sticks, dongles etc or any
device that uses a standard USB A plug. The cables allow
these devices to be connected to the motherboard USB pin header
rather than a standard USB A socket.
One end of the cable has a 1x5 way motherboard connector. This plugs
onto one row of the pins on your motherboard USB pin header. The
other end of the cable has a standard USB A female socket. The
USB A plug from your device is plugged into this socket.
The cables only use one row of pins on the USB header leaving
the other row free to connect another device.
Approximately 48cm long
The cables are supplied with a configuration that is suitable for
most devices. They are easily modified if your equipment uses
an unusual pin configuration. See support site on the left for
information on re-configuring the cables.
